I became a prawn fisherman at a very young age. The ocean I think is in my veins. I owe this to two man "Dick" Richard Petty and John Petty, Dicks son.
I starting fishing out of the port of Bribie Is Queensland Australia at 13 years old.
I have worked on the Prawn Trawler from Brisbane Queensland to Darwin NT and every port in between. I have a very Deep Love for the ocean. There are just so many things that we see out there"Trawl up from the bottom of the ocean" as fisherman but you land lovers, there is only a small amount of people that will believe what I/We are saying.
Sad I know.
Fishing makes you strong, not only in muscle but also your mind. The things that a fisherman go's through in one night at sea, is like running a marathon at times. Also being at sea for 3 to 6 months at a time can take its toll. Night after night. I am only talking from Carin's north. Tiger Prawn Country. A lot comes down to the boat that you are working on. Some boats are a breeze to work and some boats are just a night mare. A lot come down to the Skipper of the boat, and the temp that he has set. What the difference between a skipper and God, God Knows he is God. I love that Joke.
One of the best catches that I have ever had as a fisherman Was in 2000. I was on a boat called the Australian Pearl, that is owned by the Raptis And Sons Fishing Company from Brisbane Australia. The Skipper at that time was Danny, A German Man. Very Funny Man. It was about 4 a clock in the afternoon, and we just did a 5 minute try shot to see what was around. We got close to 20L * 5 Buckets of prawns. So we shot the big net away "2-10's" For about 15 minutes of trawling. We had over 20 Tons of Banana Prawns.
I was a fisherman for the best part of 13 Years, and loved every single minute. One thing I knew, I was not going to have the lifestyle from fishing that I wanted. Fishing "Prawning" was not getting it for me. I would have to be going to sea, make a lot of money in that 3-6 months come back to land, and when the money would dry up in a way of saying, it was back to sea. Year in year out. Don't get me wrong, I love fishing. More then God him self. But fishing was not getting it for me.
In the first couple of years coming to land was very hard, all of my skills were for the ocean, not land. Ready for the shock wave, plus I could not read nor write. Yer I new how to write my name, and a couple of numbers. That's it. Like Dexter says, If your Dream is big enough, the Facts don't count. And my Fact to life is, I just wanted to be free from any man, "The man that controls your paycheck, is the same man that controls your lifestyle". Free to do what I wanted to do when I wanted to do it. And not be tied to time nor money. All that I wanted to do and all that I have always ever wanted to do is, just to go Fishing.
Drop the pots, catch some Mud Crabs cook them in chilly, spin a spin-na, from fresh water to saltwater. Go to the reef stay over night catch some red emperor or some big Jewy's. Cook and eat some out there, as the sun is coming up over the water. Beach fishing, surf fishing , to small creeks. Don't matter to me, I just love to fish. I just love the feeling that you get when the line goes, bbbzzzzzzzz. There is just no rush that can come close to that feeling. Shying Diving I would have to come second. Some of you reading this might go- what go fishing all of the time- Yes to that.
Time for Change
Books, Tapes, CD's, DVD's, Seminars, Coaching, this was-is-now-always-forever- will be my life line in My Business, Life, Love, Friendship and with people that I talk to on a every day basic. I will say it like this, when I first stared to learn about how to make money and also that there are only 4 ways in doing this. The tapes where like a God sent, And yes it come on tape then not videos like today. Video's just speed up the process now.
I listened to this one Tape right at the start of my journey that changed my life for ever. Big statement I know, but this is what he said.

if you know your Rights from Wrong's,

It clicked and that was back in 2003, the decision was made. To be free in "03" The first thought that I had when I first heard this was, Yes it will, I am not Dumb, I am not the type of guy that you can just pull the sheets over my head and I will believe what you say is Truth. So yes John it will revile its secrets to you. From that brain snap. I could not sleep for the next week. What I will say is, in no way did anything happen over night for me. What I will say is that my Dreams in life were/are and still are big enough to get of my ass to get things done.
I wanted my life style, I wanted to be free. I heard this man say once, Pick me, I'm your man, Pick Me. Well I was that man as well---Pick me. Not only about money, but also I love to listen to people that know what they are talking about from there field. Does not matter there field, as long as what ever they are saying are not any porky pies 'Lies".
One of the biggest things that I have come to learn, Everything and I mean Everything- that anyone, anywhere at anytime "DOES" will leave a patten for what they WERE just doing. When that comes to making money, with the use of the internet. Great. But when you are total new to this and have no idea like where to start, who to believe, who is telling me the truth, why do I have to buy that,why do I have to buy this. There are over 50,000 wonder e-books and programs out there on anything that you could ever want to sell.
One thing that I Found out at about the 3 mth mark on my journey with learning to read, was when I tryed to read this book- in a way of saying. This Lady by the name of Roslyn Smith Red the book to me. If your dream is big, you do what you have to do. Robert Kiyosaki Rich Dad's CASHFLOW Quadrant. Just by reading this one book, is going to save you so much time and more the the point your Money over the years to come. To understand how to make money, is to understand the "Quadrant" you want to make it from.
The Magic of thinking Big by David Joseph Schwartz, this book might help you to understand why you do think different to your Friends. You see great things in your life, you see your life like the rich and famous, But with out the publicity. You see your self traveling all around the world, experiencing all different things that life has to offer. Those Dreams that put that beat right through your body, the feeling of bless and at piece with in your self. You may tell some of your friends about what you want in life, and they may say something like, Wake up and Stop day Dreaming. You are spending all of you time doing that, what ever you are doing. Come out Friday Night. You have been at that for 6 months and you have made no money. I am glad that was 8 years ago. What do they say now?
If you are hearing anything like that at all, anything close to that in anyway form- from any of your friends. Change your friends. Say this next part out loud to the world. IF I WANT CHANGE, THEN THINGS WILL CHANGE. If this is you, you would have hit a point in your life where you are saying to your Self- I will do what ever it takes to have ......?????...........
You can only have good going into you. You have to get yourself away from all of the negative talk. You have to place your self around people that are asking you Questions to help you go forward, and sometimes the Questions are hard, But the hard ones are the ones that we really have to listen to. Taking about the how/ to the future.
If I may say, Never stop Dreaming, this is your fuel. This is the .....?????.....Your Dream......When you or if you are the one to brake it down like I did at the start. It will always come back to the Dream. Your Dream. Why are you doing something more in life. Why do you want more in life. Did you know if you go down this road, it will not happen over night. Do you want the money ASAP, 90% of people will say "Just give me the money and I will show you what do you with it".
What do you want from this? why are you doing this? when I could be at the movies. Why am I listening to so many Tapes? watching so many DVD's? Reading so many books? Why, Why, Why,...Well that is the Question isn't. Money will motivate you only for so long. Now this is the point. It is in that "FOR SO LONG" It works like this, if you have not made any money in the first 6 mths in this industry the money Buzz would have left you , then you are left with nothing in side of you. Now please listen to these works, this is the difference between you winning and falling flat on you ASS.
If you have the Money Buzz at the start of your journey, that is all right. Please listen to me my friends on this next one-Get that Money Buzz "OUT" of your Brain and have your "Dream Buzz" flowing through your soul. Once the information has come down from the brain to your Heart. 90% of the work is done. Your Dream is something deep inside of your soul that , it does not matter what happening or what I have to do, I will have that. Your Dreams and also you tongue , but I talk about your Dreams here, are one of the most power-fullest thing that you will ever have in your Life. Believe me.
For myself the "Money Buzz" as I call it, lasted for about 3 something- Months. And what I mean by that is, it was the money that Got me at the start. It was the money that the people that I was looking at. They were/are making the money that they are saying that they are making. All that I saw was $$$ signs every where that I looked.
Then what happened, I got a big slap in the face around the 3 months mark. I had not made one red cent. I was broke, pissed off, had I been taken for a ride on this. I had thousands of different thoughts going through my mind. It was nothing but one big puzzle to me. Trying to put all of the pieces together , to understand it all. I was doing everything to the Letter--or the letters that i could read anyway, But I was still Broke and Making not one cent from anything.
Kangaroo Point Brisbane QLD Australia, there is a nice coffee shop next to the Brisbane River-sorry forget the name. I sat at this coffee shop for 7 hours with a man by the name of Arther Davis. I ask the Question, and the Answer lasted for 7 Hours.
And what I got out/ learnt in that 7 Hrs was this,
Once you have the money what are you going to do with it. And what ever you say = Your Dream. So it will always come back to Your Dream. Money will only move you for a short time. It is your Dream that will keep you going. What are you doing this for. What ever that may be, you have to keep that out in front of you at all times, this is your Big Picture on things. This is why you are doing it, what are you going to do with the money when you get it. So it is not the money, it is what that money will buy for you = Your Dream.
If it was easy, every body would be wealthy. You just have to give yourself some time to learn something different. Read some books on people that can point you in the right way. Learn what Money is, learn how to control it, and not have it control you. As it did to me for over 15 Years. And if you have read this far down the page, it is also going to take some time to understand. So give yourself time. Set goals, run hard, But give yourself time.
There is one thing about the internet, that can never and will never change. This is the power to the internet. Why the internet has made more millions then any other thing "Business" out there. And this will also continue for ever. Nothing on Earth even comes close to the power of the internet for selling your products and other peoples products. To track a sale, from the age of that person to the State/Country where the product is going is a very powerfully tool to have-- and all at just a couple of clicks.
Not all of us have the money to open our own "Brick and Mortar" shopping center to have say about 5,000 people going through there per day. How much would that cost? The mind Boggles.
You can on the internet, and this will only cost you around the $130, for unlimited Web Hosting. Putting up as many sites/ shopping centers as you like. Its Da Cinch. And that is what most people don't believe that "Its Da Cinch". So this is why they miss the Boat, not me-I was a fisherman. Every thing to them is a scam. Prove me wrong that you can't do what I just said. This is why the power of the internet is behind anyone that wants to give it a good go. The internet can handle it. Can you? hehe

I was a fisherman up in the Gulf for 11years. Danny, Yes is a very funny man. I worked for him for 2 Seasons on the Banana’s. So this is what you are doing, you might not remember me, I worked on the Raptis Pearl for over 5 Seasons “Jose”. It makes me wonder how many more fisherman have come to the internet. Take Care John
